Roller blinds or timber Venetians?

A roller blind lowers one sheet of fabric over the glass. A timber Venetian lets you tilt individual rows of slats while the blind stays down. The difference matters if you sit beside this window all day.

Two questions to narrow it down

Do you adjust the light while you work?

Try the view from your chair. With a Venetian you can tilt the slats as the sun moves. With a roller blind you choose a fabric for the light you want, then raise or lower it.

What matters more when the blind is raised?

A roller winds around a tube. Venetian slats collect in a stack at the top. If a tree canopy or the top of a glazed door matters to you, compare the raised sizes for that opening.
